Light Up The Sky

Our Story

4th of July

This year 4th of July is going to be and extra special fourth, with activities and special events running through out the day.

One event that is a must see is, Brevard Music Center’s annual July 4th concert, Pendergrast Family Patriotic Pops. The City has partnered with Brevard Music Center in support of this musical extravaganza. Mayor, Jimmy Harris will begin the program with a brief history of Brevard and on his closing, the orchestra will play a celebratory Happy Birthday in homage to Brevard’s 150th Birthday. Following the song the audience will be treated to an afternoon of patriotic favorites, including the rousing 1812 Overture with live cannon.

The evening activities will be held at Brevard College. The City is a major sponsor for the Fireworks and this year’s fireworks will be extra spectacular and promise to delight in lighting up the sky. The City will have a booth set up where guests can pick up the 150 Celebration schedule, and a post card with an excerpt of Brevard’s history. There will be a sweet surprise for the kids too. Birthday Cake will be served while supplies last. They will also get glow sticks to help light up the night.
