The rainy weather didn’t stop over 100 students and teachers who gathered for the City’s Arbor Day event on Thursday, April 26th.  The tree planting and bulb ceremony was cancelled, but they will be installed in the coming weeks.  A stone plaque will be placed on the site in recognition of the City’s 150th Celebration and this year’s Arbor Day.

NC Forest Service Andy Rogers was on-site to recognize the City’s 39th annual Tree City Award and present the Arbor Day Banner pictured here.

Buckets and seed packets were distributed to students at the conclusion of the event.  Students and their families were encouraged to help “Plant for the Future” of Brevard.
